Police Squad! is a classic comedy television series that originally aired in 1982. Created by the renowned duo Jim Abrahams and brothers David and Jerry Zucker, the show parodies the popular police procedural genre. Starring Leslie Nielsen as the bumbling and clueless Detective Frank Drebin, the series follows his misadventures as he tries to solve various crimes alongside his eccentric colleagues. Known for its rapid-fire sight gags, slapstick humor, and absurd wordplay, "Police Squad!" embraces a zany and irreverent style of comedy. Despite its critical acclaim and loyal fanbase, the show was met with an early demise, with only six episodes produced.
